Christopher Viesca is a jazz guitarist based out of beautiful Los Angeles, California with an Associate of Arts degree in Music from Pierce College, and recently in 2022 graduated from Cal State University Northridge with a Bachelors of Arts degree. While in college he really grew into my own as a musician and discovered that I love black American music. Not only the music, but the history of how it formed as well as the differences and similarities with European classical music. When at school played with various ensembles, arranged for various groups, as well as getting private instruction from some of the best instructors and players in the world. Thats what I'd hope to pass on the students; the idea that knowledge, be it music, english, math, physiology, etc. is the key to everything, and that it doesn't have to be stuffy and boring! I tailor my lessons to the student whether its guitar, piano, ukulele, etc. and my main objective for them is to learn and have fun, so the learning is reinforced with good natured thoughts. This will set up the student to actually want to practice! These qualities as well as my patience with different learning speeds have proven to be very beneficial to me as well as my students.
