Guitar with Chris S.

Hey I'm Chris, Berklee student and guitarist in Philly based hard rock band Pravda, specializing in rock and metal with over 19 years experience. My influences include Joe Satriani, Metallica, and Dream Theater. I teach beginner and intermediate players. I teach scales, modes, chords, soloing techniques, alternate picking, legato, sweep picking, basic theory, song writing, etc. all the while learning the songs you love. We'll look at your technique and see where you can improve, helping you get through any roadblocks you may be having so you can play what you want the way you want to. I've always loved teaching guitar, either to my friends and family or to a client. I love being able to share what I've learned with someone else and watch them grow! I think learning guitar should be fun but also effective, and so my teaching style is pretty laid back yet focused. I look forward to hearing from you! Video chat allows us to work together from our homes (I can do Skype, Zoom, Facebook, etc.) For payment I offer a sliding scale, so anywhere from $20-60 per half hour works.
