Bass Guitar with Chris P.

As a teacher, I hope to help students of all ages and abilities explore their love of music and Bass Guitar by improving on fundamental skills that all musicians should possess. I aim to build healthy practice routines that encourage students to pick up the instrument every day and provide exercises that engage them on multiple levels. I strongly believe that music should be a fun and fulfilling outlet for every student. Keeping that in mind, I work closely with them to achieve their goals: whether it be preparing for College or gig auditions, or simply exploring new styles and techniques, while finding ways to make the process as positive and stress-free as possible. With 7 years of playing experience, I am currently a student at Berklee College of Music, having studied Performance and Music Production/Engineering. I have experience playing in styles ranging from Pop and Rock to Jazz, Funk, Country, Bluegrass, and more. Additionally, I have experience playing in ensembles of varying sizes, Pit Orchestra, and studio sessions. In my lessons, I use music theory, and ear training on a regular basis to teach music through a holistic approach. Students will be using these skills to build repertoire, advance technique, and improve in areas like rhythm and time feel as well as reading abilities. Beyond playing and practice, I hope to help my students continue to find joy and passion for music! I look forward to working with you very soon!
