    About Chris H.

I am a US Navy submarine veteran and former field engineer with expertise on electro-mechanical systems who traded in his heavy tools for even heavier textbooks. Prior to leaving industrial fields, it was often a part of my job to train new personnel on equipment, maintenance practices, and documentation, which I really did enjoy and so I decided to become a teacher. Now I truly enjoy both teaching and learning. I am currently graduate student (again), now earning a Master of Science degree in astronomy and will likely continue with my PhD in astrophysics. I have taught physics and chemistry at local high schools for the past 6 years and really enjoy the subject material, regardless of whether it is calculus-based or algebra-based. although I really do enjoy teaching mechanics and electricity the most. I always bring a good sense of humor and positive attitude to all of my lessons and try to make physics interesting and fun.

Klopsteg, and William S. Webb, led the effort to organize the first association dedicated to improving physics education. Today that vision is supported by members around the world.
