I was a physics teacher and also a class teacher in China. What quite different from the teachers in U.S. is that I had to take on both roles at the same time, which is really a challenge for me. I was required to balance each role well. As a physics teacher ,I developed and implemented daily and unit lesson plans for 8th grade, administered tests and evaluations, entered score and analyzed student performance which made me more skillful in performing general office duties such as typing, operating office software. What's more i conducted group/individual reading and science activities. As a class teacher, I kept records of students materials filed or removed, using logbooks or computers; Added new material to file records, and created new records as necessary. I also needed to contact parents via phone or email sending them school report. The hardest part of my job is conducting parent conferences every semester. This kind of duties is more like office work. However, Our LPGs attainted wonderful results last year and I obtained the Second Prize in 2014 National Teaching Skills Contest for the Physics Teachers in school. My striking teaching achievement awarded me as Outstanding Young Teacher. I have extensive management and operational experience and I am specifically targeting jobs that will allow me to apply my skills in the future job.
