I have played the violin for 15 years, starting from when I was in elementary school. I participated in the orchestras for middle and high school. In these orchestras, we participated in many competitions and festivals. When I was in college, I joined a community orchestra called the East County Youth Symphony. This is where I honed in on my skills and progressed towards a intermediate level. I received harder literature to read and played with some amazing musicians in concerts. Because of this orchestra, I was able to participate in a musical for Young Actors Theater. I played the violin for the play Les Miserables. After this, I joined the Greater San Diego Orchestra which allowed me to perform with solo artists and participate in film festivals. I had the opportunity to play for another musical for Young Actors Theater, this time Beauty and the Beast. Currently, I am a member of Mariachi Victoria de San Diego. This group consists of musicians of various age and skill levels. We play in festivals and performances around the San Diego area.
