As a musician I wear many hats. I am a music director in a church, teach preschool music classes, direct a community children's choir, teach private lessons, all while still performing original music I have written and recorded in Nashville with Dove and Grammy Award Winning Producer, Phil Naish (Steven Curtis Chapman). I believe life is more fun when you color outside the lines. I bring that philosophy to my piano teaching by encouraging my students to compose their own songs, arrange music more to their liking, play new styles of music, and finding cool songs from the internet. I've seen many students rise to great heights by jumping ship from method books to try new and exciting repertoire. I love to fine tune learning to each student's interest. Music should be a reflection of who we are. I love working with all ages... from young beginners to adults and I know you will meet your goals as we work together.
