Hi, my name is Hu. I had Kung fu and Tai Chi experience In my lifetime, Kung fu for 10 years, and Tai Chi for about 10 years.I learned Tai Chi when I was in China, and it was a very traditional training way, it was boring and we will practice one same movement over and over again, don't give me wrong, the time you spend, worth it. but it was too long to build the skill, and I am not sure if I could teach the same way in here, I started teaching Tai Chi since 2015 in the U.S, the very first day of the class I told my clients, you learn Tai Chi with me, and I learn how to teach Tai Chi with you, after teaching this many years, I have got a lot of experience how to teach people, the most thing that continually encourages me to teach Tai Chi is the improvement from the clients, they become happier and much more enjoy it after they practice Tai Chi, their's body coordination and balance ability got so much better, and I enjoy to see that, I always told my clients I am not the instructor, I am the sharer, and I like to share my Tai Chi experience with all of you, because I do enjoy to see the good things start happening to everyone.

I was apprehensive starting my first Tai chi class as a plus size woman. Yet, while this review may be premature, I am a good judge of character. Cheng had no idea what a morale booster he gave me when he said, "you look good." that let me know, I had the right instructor. I settled in with ease and didn't feel paranoid or self conscious at all,, Cheng is a very thorough and patient instructor. He welcomes questions, doesn't make you feel uncomfortable and explains very well what needs to be done. He gives great examples to help you understand his instructions to help you complete what he says. I may have a ways to go with my balance and remembering everything he says to do, however, I am committed to making me a better me and I feel Chen has definitely gotten me off to a great start. I recommend him highly.

Cheng taught a wonderful Qigong class (beginner level) to a large class we had as part of our company's AAPI Heritage Month celebrations. He was very easy to communicate with and made the planning process very smooth. He perfectly planned the hour we had scheduled and led us through a relaxing class. I hope we can do another class in the future!
