Gain control of your voice with a coach with 20+ years of performance and teaching experience!

Our voice is one of the many tools we use to communicate, it is a gift and an amazing gift at that. Our voice can be used to communicate, interact, teach, tell a story, display how we feel, transport people’s hearts to another place or time; to name a few. Being able to sing is one thing but to also be able to perform with confidence and have your audience receive you well takes skills and training. I will help you engage with your audience while you display your art through your voice.

About Chau K.

My name is Chau and I am a transplant from Australia. I’ve lived in Las Vegas for the last 20 years. I have a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Western Sydney, New South Wales, Australia and University of Nevada, Las Vegas, majoring in vocal performance and music technology. I am a wife to my husband and a mother to our four children. I've been teaching voice for over 20 years and have loved every minute of it because I truly care about my craft and more importantly, my students and their creative goals. I was a Music Specialist at Merryhill School in Las Vegas, teaching K-8th Grade, until I became pregnant with my second child. I've also worked in church worship teams for the past 20+ years, both in Australia (Sydney and Brisbane) and Las Vegas, Nevada. My faith dictates the way I live my life and as a young child, my dad taught me to always strive for excellence in all that I do — this mentality has undoubtedly motivated my teaching career. My students can count on a teacher who is prepared and creative in developing a learning experience that will exponentially €œgrow€ them in their creative field. I inherited my love for singing from my Mum — as a child I watched her perform and wished that I could one day do the same. At the age of 16, after auditioning, I was selected to be a part of the New South Wales Senior (High School) State Choir and as a result, I toured the USA in 1999 representing the Australian Embassy in the United States. This was around the same time that I caught “œthe bug€” and decided to pursue music as a career. I then went on to study music, first briefly at the Music Conservatorium in Sydney and then finishing my Bachelor's degree in Music at the University of Western Sydney. I was first classically trained vocally and with that background, moved onto more contemporary vocal styles. After marrying my husband, I moved to Las Vegas and began my graduate studies in Counseling/Psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Music and Counseling, to me, made the perfect marriage as I love music and love people equally. Needless to say, teaching music and helping people has made my life very fulfilling. *** Studio Equipment *** Live Sound and Recording Equipment Intelligent Piano Sitting area for Parents/Guardian I will provide students with the necessary materials needed for instruction. *** Specialties *** I specialize in vocal techniques, and diaphragm/breathing techniques. As far as style or genre are concerned, I use both, my experience in classical voice training and contemporary voice training, to keep my students engaged in their craft. I listen well to my student's needs and meet them where they are at, ensuring that I meet their creative goals and not my own.

I spent four months working with Chau and it was an amazing experience. I learned not only about singing, but about finding and using my true voice, and I learned more about myself along the way. Our relationship began with a 30 minute FaceTime call, to my pleasant surprise, where she took time to explain how she teaches, and she wanted to learn about my background and my goals. After my first lesson I instinctively gave her a hug. She's such a warm, compassionate person who really cares about your development and reaching your goals, that I just couldn't help it. It wasn't long before she said, "We're finding and rebuilding your voice from scratch," and that's exactly what she helped me do. I still have a long way to go, but I'm confident that Chau helped me build the foundation and techniques to have a great voice, whether it's for speaking or singing. I highly recommend working with Chau. You won't be disappointed!

I’ve been visiting Chau for vocal lessons for about two years now. As someone who wanted to learn how to sing with proper technique & confidence, I can honestly say that it’s one of the best investments I’ve ever made in myself. Chau is kind, caring, supportive, and her knowledge & dedication really is inspiring. I’ve learned so much in the time we’ve been working together, & I’m so happy we crossed paths. Thank you Chau!

Chau's expertise is truly unmatched; her understanding of vocal techniques & passion for teaching makes for an unparalleled learning experience. She has helped me discover the intricacies of my own voice & taught me the mechanics behind it. She also inspires a great deal of emotion and texture and confidence in singing, encouraging us to share the gift of our voice with the world. Lessons with Chau have been life-altering & I am so grateful for her endless support 💛
