Music Performance with Charlton P.

Charlton thrived in UNC-Greensboro's program. He was afforded the opportunity to play with many great musicians including Lewis Nash, Vincent Gardner, Patrick Cornelius, Bill Campbell, Stephen Riley, Kobie Watkins, and Joey Calderazzo. Charlton's skills gained from the program allowed him to play in ensembles all across North Carolina and beyond such as with the North Carolina Jazz Repertory Orchestra, The Piedmont Triad Jazz Orchestra , and The Camel City Jazz Orchestra. In 2014, he was selected from ten out of the world as a finalist for the spot as the bassist with The US Army Field Band, The Jazz Ambassadors. Charlton has also played on cruise ships along with playing in numerous pit orchestra ensembles across North Carolina. As a recent graduate, Charlton continues to perform regularly around the North Carolina area, playing several times a week with different groups working continually to improve his craft.
