    MEGAN MAGDEN POSTLE recently moved from Charlotte, NC to New York City to study at Teachers College Columbia Uni- versity with a focus in music and music education. She has been teaching voice since 2000, and loves building connections with her students. Postle is an accomplished performer and accom- panist and has served as a choral director and section leader for several churches around the country. Additionally, she has been music director or accompanist for musical theater productions and programs for the past 12 years. Her teaching philosophy includes using a variety of teaching styles and methods to meet the needs of the individual student. She has been a vocal coach for college-bound vocalists for ten years, and continues to inspire her students through organization and goal setting. My experience and knowledge will assist you the with tools to becoming a better vocalist. *** Lesson Details *** My primary goal as a teacher is to develop independent musicianship in all of my students. We work together to become better singers and musicians. My lessons follow the conservatory methods for proper sound production. For the first lesson, we spend time getting to know each other and your voice. In addition, we have a discussion over the basics of healthy singing. A typical lesson includes: Basic vocal warm-ups that focus on free voice production and good vocal technique Ear-training and sight-singing Vocal repertoire and song selection *** Travel Equipment *** Keyboard and amp.
