I want to turn you on to some basic simple techniques that will help you to make magic happen:
alternating bass (keep time on the bass strings with your thumb) 
boom chick (slapping the guitar on the 2 and 4 beats.1 chick 3 chick, like that.)
this stuff is not rocket surgery. :)
but, it changed how I feel about my playing. 
before I learned how to do that, I was a so-so player.
after I learned how to do that, I feel like I can really play. I can please and entertain myself and others.
my joy in playing increased immeasurably.
learning to do those things has been a watershed experience for me.
and I would love to help you to do the same thing.
you essentially become a one man (or woman), band.
playing bass, percussion and guitar all together.
I want to help you have fun playing.
and love playing.
if you keep at it, you will pick it up quick.
and you will be pleasing yourself and others.
