My name is Charles, Mr. Charles, or Chuck. I am a 2011 graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a concentration in Business Administration. I started college at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS for my first 2 years, fell in love with Economics, and transferred to LSU (Geaux Tigers) for their more intensive Economics program.
I now live in the Greater Richmond Metro Area. I have tutored economics, statistics, high school math, and college level math students in the Greater Baton Rouge Area, Greater New Orleans, and Greater Richmond, VA area since 2008.
I generally suggest setting up sessions in neutral locations, but I am also quite flexible in terms of a locations besides those listed as I have held sessions at libraries and classrooms in all community colleges and universities in Greater Richmond, VA since moving here. The goal is to find an environment where the student is most relaxed and receptive to learning, and I have also taught at the kitchen tables and office rooms of students when neutral environments bring too many distractions.
I pride myself on being able to CUSTOMIZE and PERSONALIZE how I teach the subject matter to the learning style of the student. Everyone learns differently, and, as a tutor, I have the ability to adapt everything from the examples I use to the exercises we go over to ensure that the concept "sticks" beyond test day.
