I am a working professional actor (proud member of both SAG-AFTRA and Actor's Equity Association). I've worked on some of Television's biggest shows including: BIG LITTLE LIES (HBO) as the character Agent Nelson (opposite Golden Globe winner, Laura Dern). I've also landed recurring roles in Grey's Anatomy (ABC) and General Hospital (ABC). Other highlighted (of my many) TV credits include: True Detective (HBO), Jane the Virgin (CW), Criminal Minds (CBS), Veronica Mars (HULU), Scandal (ABC), and the hit multi-cam series, FAM (CBS). I've also done several National commercials for the likes of: Honda, Toyota, and McDonald's.
I received my classical training from UC Irvine and have performed with some of Los Angeles' most renowned theater companies and stage directors including: the Actors Co-Op, Company of Angels, and stage director, Don B. Welch. Other regional highlights include working with one of Connecticut's renowned Equity theatre companies (Connecticut Free Shakespeare) in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Much Ado About Nothing (respectively as Oberon and Don John).
COACH: My teaching career began as a credentialed 5th grade teacher in Los Angeles, CA prior to starting my professional acting career. I started officially teaching acting classes (and tutoring) in 2009 - mainly all over Los Angeles and the Valley - most notably with the non-profit, City Hearts: Kids Say Yes to the Arts. My elementary aged, inner-city acting students performed for the likes of agents at William Morris Endeavor, Glee star Max Adler (FOX), Empire star Grace Byers (FOX), and placed 1st and 2nd place at the annual Shakespeare Challenge in Topanga, CA for my entire tenure of 8 consecutive years. I've also taught acting workshops internationally for high schoolers at Gyeonggi Suwon International School in Suwon, South Korea. My current private coaching clients range from professional actors to younger actors seeking to better understand the craft of acting, preparing for school play auditions and productions, etc.
I love to give my students PRACTICAL tools to have a better sense of scene and character analysis, audition preparation, and perhaps just as or more important, tools to have a health and confident mindset as they approach any and everything dealing with acting.
Teaching acting, improv, and Shakespeare to at risk inner-city youth ranging from grades 3 - High School. Heavy focus on character development, scene and text analysis, movement, and speech. My students were in class 2 times per week, 90 minutes each class. The year ended with students competing in the City Heart's Annual Shakespeare Challenge - with "scene" and "monologue" categories. During my entire duration, my students competed against students from all over Los Angeles and the Valley...placing 1st and 2nd in each category every single year!Show More

I taught 5th grade in all subject areas through the Teach for America program. 1.5 years later, I was offered a role for a play in New York which quickly led to a national tour and my Actor's Equity card within a matter of months.

I really love working with Charles. He makes acting very practical and challenges me to look at scenes and how I break them down in a different way. My preparation for auditions has improved so much given his guidance. HIGHLY recommend it!
Charles' acting program taught me professionalism and the meticulousness that are essential to have in my acting career. He propelled me to become a better artist as I spent engaging and personal time with him in and outside of class. He really cares about his students and he will do anything to make his students feel comfortable and most importantly, learn more about acting.

Wow! Charles is fully knowledgeable, confident, and great at bringing out 'YOUR BEST' in such a dynamic and complicated art form. He gave me effective coaching to prepare for my audition, and I got a callback - as a result from our first session. Normally, I just work on the material by myself, but I'm looking forward to getting more opportunities - just so I can reach out to Charles. I'm fully invested in his career as well now that I know him. My wife and I geeked when we saw him on 'Big little lies' so cool... thats my coach!Show More
Charles is an amazing instructor for a few reasons. He truly makes you a well rounded actor. He gives you lots of i depth help on pretty much any and every acting topic whether it’s monologues and line delivery or learning to be comfortable in front of the camera. As a highschool actor he has been the most professional, productive, and helpful teacher that I’ve had.Show More
