Charles has been my teacher for a few weeks now and I am so happy I found him on takelessons. He is an amazing guitar player but also an amazing teacher, he always comes prepared and the class is well organized. He is also open to hearing suggestions to learn your favorite songs. He is very encouraging which gives the motivation to keep going which is so important for a beginner. I am already seeing great progresses after only a few weeks, and I can't wait for more lessons this year. Highly recommend him if you are looking to get started with the guitar! You will really enjoy learning with him, he is also a very cool and fun guy so you can learn in a nice environment, whether it is in his studio at his place, at your place or online.

I learnt music theory and improvisation with Charles for 4 months in New York. Charles is highly approachable and extremely knowledgeable. He walks the perfect line between making his students feel comfortable whilst also pushing them to become better in every single session. I got a solid grasp of the basics of music theory and was able to fully improvise in different scales at the end of the course. The growth I had was tremendous - all thanks to Charles' guidance. Charles will take the time to fully understand the needs, goals and struggles of his students. He will be there for them inside and outside of class time because he genuinely cares about music and his students becoming better.
