I teach acoustic guitar for rock, pop, folk, country, blues, and worship music.  I've been playing guitar for 36 years, and teaching guitar for 14 years. When you study acoustic guitar with me you will learn chords, strum patterns, finger style, scales, practical music theory, improvisation, sight reading, tablature, and most importantly songs by your favorite artists. I love to teach people to play their favorite music!

My name is Charley and I teach guitar, bass, and ukulele for rock, pop, folk, country, blues, and worship music. I've been playing for 36 years, and teaching for 14 years. I love to teach people to play music and especially to teach them to play songs by their  favorite artists!

Got some good input on how to improvise on songs

My son is so excited for his next lesson. His response after his first lesson was "Boy, that went fast. He's really nice. Can't wait for next week!"

He took extra time when we first started to find out where my daughter was at in her skill and ability, made a book and plan for her, and the took extra time each week to answer every question and really try to teach her effectively. She enjoyed it and wanted to go because she was learning and improving. She even started to appreciate the homework he gave. Will definitely consider him again if the logistics work out.

Charley is extremely patient and is very aware of Addison's ability and teaches at a pace perfect for her.

I have known Charley for quite a few years now.  He has taught three of my sons to play guitar, both acoustic and electric.  Charley himself is a very good guitar player.  But it is his easy going personality and the way he relates to the kids that make him the best guitar teacher we could have ever had.  My sons have their own band that  plays out in public and they are all on worship teams.  They have also played at multiple youth conferences in Ohio and North Carolina.  I highly recommend him for all children and adults.
