A lot goes into a good lesson. There are a few things I consider integral to playing music such as music theory, reading music (and tab!), learning songs, improv technique, yada yada. Its all good stuff, and if you want I will start you on a plan that touches on all of it. That's what I like to do with young people just starting out, or anyone who is interested in learning it all. BUT. There is no one size fits all that will make lessons enjoyable for everyone. That is why I believe communication is so very important, so that I can help the student accomplish what THEY want to accomplish. Also, its all about fostering the love! I want you to enjoy the guitar, whatever that means for you. As you can tell, I try to just love what I'm doing and not take myself too seriously. I live for that 'AHA!' moment when a student finally gets something, where it just clicks, and I love when I feel that in myself as well. I personally get this feeling the most when I learn a finger style or classical tune, and I would love to take you down that path if you so desire. But guess what, that feeling of satisfaction comes from playing all different types of music! That is the beauty of it.
