Hello there. My name is Chad. I’ve been writing, recording, and performing music for over 25 years now. I’ve spent most of my adult life on stages and in recording studios. I’ve been blessed to tour the country and play with some touring members of the Dave Matthews Band, the Steve Winwood Band, the Gregg Allman Band, and the Rolling Stones. I’ve played drums on over 30 studio recordings as a session musician. I’ve also engineered and produced albums as an artist and for other artists in my studio. These experiences have given me the perspective to know what it takes to be a successful musician. I teach beginning to professional drum students how to serve the song while being versatile, responsive, and dynamic. We focus on developing the fundamentals of reading, reliable technique, and listening skills. All this is in the pursuit of being able to express yourself and “speak” through the instrument. My primary goal is to teach you how to become your own teacher, so you can continue to study and improve. Recording students can expect to learn how to take a song from a rough idea and transform it into a radio-ready finished product. We learn the important concepts of recording and mixing right in my creative and comfortable studio located in Daytona Beach. There is no greater joy for me than to help someone accomplish their musical goals! Teaching and mentoring is an honor and a privilege that I don’t take lightly.
