Computer Programming with Chacha S.

Hi! Programming is really fun! Ever since I was a kid, I've enjoyed making computers do fun, creative things. My dad said the first program I "wrote" was a "synthesizer." (I'm pretty sure I just typed in the code.) Professionally, I started with HTML in 1995, and have built up my career, holding many different kinds of jobs building interactive experiences for the web. I love design, and building web products that have good design. I love writing code that other people can also understand, and learning new code libraries. Over the years, I worked with lots of different kinds of computer-readable data, and I really really enjoy publishing data and making it easier to understand information that had been confusing. These days I mostly write Javascript code for work (React), and for fun I'm learning comedy writing, illustration and growing vegetables. I've lived in Los Angeles for one year. I really enjoyed teaching the web when I taught web skills at an art college, and giving many pep talks, mentoring and advice to people I've met at coding events.
