Acting with Cemre Su S.

Right from the heart of Istanbul, since the age of 4, I’ve been wanting and needing the stage. I realized at a very early age that, my heart beats in a very particular way when I am performing. During my years in CalArts, and being taught in an experimental setting, I have realized that I am striving to be an artist who’s honoured to feel, simply. Inviting people to experience human vulnerability with all of its colours and even for a split second allowing them space to indulge in it. I am an actor, director and choreographer. I received my Acting BFA from California Institute of the Arts. Right after school, I've debuted my first ever European tour with an original play called Fore! as the lead character Anna. The play was written by Aleshea Harris and directed by Arnaud Meunier. The very last production I was performing in was called Girl Inside the Mirror at the Planet Connections Festivity this past July and was nominated for Outstanding Actress in One Act Award within the Festival. I have recently produced my original dance theatre piece called V O I D at HERE Arts Center New York as a part of their Co-Op Sublet Series.
