I hold a MA in Piano Performance from Azusa Pacific University. I have been teaching piano for all ages and all levels since 2002. I had formal training in Suzuki pedagogy method from the Suzuki certified trainer. Over the last ten years, I have been integrating Suzuki method with various modern piano pedagogies to teach beginners and received positive feedback from students and parents. I believe that students under my integrated method usually progress much faster than the ones under traditional Suzuki method. In addition to piano teaching, I also teach all levels of accordion and violin (Suzuki Method). I am patient, friendly, cheerful and good at customizing my lessons to meet individual student's needs. I believe all students have potential to master skills as long as they have strong self-discipline, perseverance and supportive family and good teachers. You will get your time and money worth! *** Lesson Details *** Beginner: Within a month, you will learn how to count the beat, and how to read music notes (treble clef). There is a great emphasis on the ear training and music theory throughout the course of the lessons. Intermediate and advanced students: I will help you get rid of incorrect or unhealthy habits such as postures, hand positions, etc; and further build you strength in sight-reading and music theory.
