Celine-Marie Ferland, B.A., M.M., has over 20 years’ experience as a professional musician. She is an active member of the Seattle Flute Society and the National Flute Association. She developed the “Celine Ferland Flute School” (2009) for orphaned girls in Adigrat, Tigray, Ethiopia and in 2012 she opened her second flute school for children of veterans in Mekelle, Tigray, Ethiopia. Inspired of her flute schools Ms. Ferland established and became the cofounder of the B.A. Music Degree program for Mekelle University in Mekelle, Tigray, Ethiopia. She gave workshops in pedagogy, music methodology and masterclasses. She assisted several schools on music curriculum development and developed after school music programs in the primary schools in Mekelle. She gave concerts throughout Ethiopia and performed with Ethiopia’s finest musicians. Ms. Ferland brings you an engaging music studio that will enhance and develop the flutist into the musician he/she wishes to become.
