Catherine has been teaching private lessons since 1995 and is currently available to teach lessons at your home, at her studio, and online. Catherine has helped students to develop their voices, audition successfully, and perform with confidence on stage and screen. Catherine received her education from Boston University where she received a BM degree in Vocal Performance. She was a post-graduate artist at the Boston University Opera Institute and studied in Italy with legendary tenor Carlo Bergonzi. Aside from formal education, Catherine has performed on stages including the Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall in concerts, operas, and musicals. Her largest audience was 18,000 when she sang the National Anthem at an NBA game. (Go Spurs!) As an expert in her field, Catherine looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals. Catherine's teaching style is encouraging and enthusiastic.

I was looking for a vibrant, fun piano teacher for my kids as they were not motivated by strict teachers who also taught them boring songs they could not relate to. What a gift of a teacher we found in Catherine. Not only is she warm, kind, caring with an easy rapport for kids and adults alike but she is also an excellent piano and voice instructor. This talented lady is a professional singer too who is well versed in Broadway show tunes and opera too. She also instill her students with a sense of musical rhythm and is holistic in her approach to kids who might need a little physical warm up before class in order to attend better. Catherine’s voice is magnificent and we were fortunate enough to attend a show where she played the lead for The Taming of the Shrew. She is a professional voice and classical opera teacher too and this complements her piano instruction .. A perk is she can travel to your home or does lesions in her own home . In addition is a passionate, excellent voice teacher for anyone who is looking to hone their vocal skills and talents. I wholeheartedly recommend Catherine - her lessons are more than just teaching - she is a true mentor and educator in every sense of the word.
