Hi! I'm Catherine. I'm passionate for anything music, math, or science, and I would love to work with you to help you accomplish your academic, musical, or personal goals! A BIT ABOUT ME: I have a BA in Chemistry and Music (voice and violin concentrations) with academic honors, and a Masters in Music from New England Conservatory (NEC). I have lab experience in Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Astrochemistry at Rollins College, Georgia Tech and The University of Virginia. I have taught and tutored keyboard harmony and music theory at the Undergrad level at NEC, and have tutored privately (math up to calculus, chemistry up to organic, writing). WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOU: Having trained in violin for 15 years, piano for 10, and voice for 8, I am ready to help you expand your skills with music lessons. I can't wait to help you in the way that YOU learn best, and taper our lessons to what will help YOUR GROWTH. Going through school and lessons was not a breeze for me, and I was never one of those people who just “got” things right away. For me it took a diligent learning process, so I know what it's like to learn things from scratch, work with a tutor, ask questions, and make mistakes to achieve the best I can. I want to help you do the same!! Let's schedule a trial lesson and go from there! Look forward to meeting you.

Catherine is very responsible and extremely helpful for my music theory study. She set up additional office hours to help me understand the knowledge and pass the advanced tonal practice course. Her introduction was very clear and she delivered it with great patience. She was also very thoughtful to be flexible to fit my schedule. I really appreciate her help, and would highly recommend her.

I wish I could give catherine 5000000+ stars! she worked with me through two tough years of undergrad music theory and keyboard and I was able to pass my classes on time and really improve my skills. her positivity, enthusiasm, understanding, and work ethic are unmatched. I couldn’t of made it through my first two years of college without her.
