    About Cassidy C.

Trained as a music historian as well as a performing violinist, I have spent years both being coached and learning to coach. I love deciphering individuals' unique learning styles so as to craft an engaging approach to help them understand the subject they're exploring—especially when that subject involves the English language. For over a year I have worked professionally as a writing and research mentor, aiding undergraduate staff at the University of Michigan's Gershwin Initiative with crafting their research into an incisive, compelling product that speaks to laymen and professionals in their fields alike. My aim is to teach students the "why," not simply the "how," and to show them through logical reasoning how effective writing strategies successfully draw the reader along. I strive to put them into the reader's place, teaching them how to view their own work objectively and understand how to guide their readers most effectively.
