Hi! I'm a college student studying to be an orchestra teacher in a few years. I have experience teaching privately as well as assisting in the classroom environment through the Music innovates Program. As a private teacher, I have previously gone out of my way to teach in a unique way for each student. This may be as simple as allowing you to contact me with questions between lessons, or as detailed as printing out visuals for students who learn best visually. I'm a member of the Whitworth Orchestra and the Whitworth "Strings" Chamber Ensemble. I've been playing the viola since the age of 12 and am a huge advocate of picking up a new instrument even when it may seem that you've missed your chance to succeed. I teach efficient practicing, problem-solving techniques, and try to individualize to each students learning style. I am open to learning to teach students with diverse situations, including unique needs a student has, be it financial, ELL challenges, or special needs.
