I have been playing guitar for 15 years in a variety of styles (rock, jazz, classical) and have picked up various methods from the artists I admire and the peers who have made me the player I am today. Personable and patient, I subscribe to the notion that everyone has the ability to play any instrument if they find the passion within themselves to unlock it. I seek to help fellow lovers of music to learn the songs that they grew up with, or have just discovered for the first time, with relative ease and comfort. I focus on proper techniques, ear training, and a general appreciation for music and the instruments themselves.

I am a musician based in Chicago, IL who has learned over 10+ instruments in their lifetime. After graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2017 with dual-degrees in Music Technology and English, I have worked in the live entertainment and hospitality industry, with hands-on experience in audio-visual equipment and stage management. I am on TakeLessons to start my new journey into teaching, hoping to share my passion for learning new instruments onto others!
