Oboe and reedmaking lessons from a professional player and reedmaker
I've played with such orchestras as the San Francisco Symphony and Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and have studied with some of the biggest names in oboe - Eugene Izotov, Robert Sheena, and Robert Walters, to name a few! I strive to challenge all of my students but also to build their confidence and their faith in themselves and their music making. For my reedmaking students, my goal is to make sense of all the chaos of reeds and to help them understand what they want out of a reed, and how to consistently achieve it.

My favorite part of music is how we share it with others - we share with our audience when we perform, with our collaborators when we play in groups both big and small, and we share our experiences and wisdom with students to help them have an easier time achieving their goals and aspirations. This philosophy shapes both my teaching and my playing, as I try to make my lessons engaging but also informative for my students.
