I'm Carson, the English instructor at the Santek Culture Center. I've been teaching ESL in the San Diego area for the last three years. Before that, I spent five years teaching English in Japan. It was a great experience, and it taught me a lot about teaching people from different cultures. I love teaching ESL because it allows me to meet so many interesting people from around the world! San Diego is a very diverse city, and over the last few years, I’ve had the opportunity to teach people from all over!
I'm originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, where I graduated from the University of Nebraska. I'm really into music, sports, movies, travel, and of course, the English language. Come by the Santek Culture Center and we can discuss these and lots of other topics. I look forward to meeting you!

His lessons are very informative for me. He's always teaching me practical English by using textbooks and the vocabulary papers like phrasal verbs and idioms by his own method. This is the first time for me to live outside of Japan, and it's been about 2 years since I moved to San Diego. I was afraid of talking with people in English, but he always cheers me up. His lessons make me have more confidence to communicate with people in English. I'm very satisfied with his lessons.

I’m taking online ESL lessons from Japan and he’s teaching me conversation, vocabulary (phrasal verbs and idioms) and American pronunciation. In addition to that, I’m learning how to express my opinion on the current news and how to deal with business meetings.
I’m really satisfied with his lessons because he’s always considering what kind of lessons I need and encouraging me to study English. I’m sure my English is getting much better with his help. I appreciate his professional abilities and kindness!
