I’ve been a passionate pianist for 30+ years residing in the Allegheny mountains of West Virginia. I began playing the piano by ear at a very young age when I was barely able to reach the keys while sitting on a piano bench. After learning to play by ear, I became extremely curious to read music and began taking piano lessons and continued lessons alongside participating in the band throughout public schooling. The best part of my day was coming home to play my piano. :) Through the years I have substituted as a church pianist and performed playing the piano for numerous weddings, which are the greatest experiences I’ve had as a musician.
In a pianists career, there comes a time when we have a strong need to provide instructional knowledge of the piano to new aspiring pianists. Since reaching this level, I welcome to provide a long-term teaching relationship with students to help reach their highest goals of playing the piano by building their self-confidence and expressing their capabilities. Even though my son prefers to play guitar, I love teaching him a new song on the piano. When I see his glowing smile after he has learned it on the piano, it warms my heart with a joyous satisfaction from teaching him a new song and that he enjoys learning it as well. Piano lessons give both the student and the teacher self-rewarding confidence. "There is music in every child. The teacher's job is to find it and nurture it." ~ Frances Clark.
