English (ESL) with Carrie N.

I am an experienced English teacher at a leading English Language Institution where I have worked with both students and teachers at the advanced level. I specialize in reading and writing for academic purposes as well as curriculum writing. Most of my students come from China and are college level. I have also taught K-12 in ESL and Spanish, supervised teachers learning to become ESL teachers and taught grades 7-12 in English Literature. My most recent project is a published chapter in ELL Writing for Elementary Students, a text edited by experts in the ESL field. Additionally, I have presented at the University of Pennsylvania Ethnography Forum and Penn TESOL. I am most proud of my connections with students and my ability to reach them at a personal level in order to provide meaningful, engaging lessons. My University reviews are a testimony to success in the field of ESL and passion for teaching students of all ages and backgrounds.
