I come from a background of learning violin in schools.  It was fairly challenging for me to learn the violin so I have dealt with many of the challenges that my students may face when learning and I know how best to get through those challenges.  I have 22 years of experience playing the violin and 7 years experience teaching violin lessons.

I am a graduate of Otterbein University with a degree in music education.  I have been teaching lessons for 7 years and I also have been teaching in schools for 6 years.  I primarily teach using either Suzuki books (not Suzuki certified) or Alfred's method for piano lessons.

Carrie is an excellent private music teacher. She never speaks down to the kids or lowers her expectations, but yet makes learning music fun, interesting, and challenging. She figures out  each individual student's needs and learning  techniques, and then figures out creative ways to teach the student. My children enjoyed learning from her, and learned to appreciate music for music's sake, not just to learn the instrument.

Carrie Dvorsky is very passionate about music education.  She's creative in her approach to teaching by using lessons that require movement and hands-on; as well as technology .
