    About Caroline L.

Hi there! My name's Caroline, and I'm a working actor and teacher in Chicago. I received my BA in Theatre Arts at the University of Mississippi, and then pursued my Masters in Musical Theatre from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, currently ranked 3rd best Performing Arts Institution in the world. I want to make sure that no matter where you are in your singing or acting career, you will become confident in your skills and be ready to face the world and show just what you uniquely have to offer! Feel free to visit my website at carolinelyell.com to see my full performance resume and performance clips! I’ve studied extensively with singing professionals, running the gamut. From members of the National Opera Association to certified Estill Method teachers to pop artists, I take my vast array of knowledge to make sure I find a method and practice that works best for YOU. Voice students can expect a noticeable improvement in their vocal technique. Whether you’re looking to expand your range, learn how to “belt” or sing classically, or be able to create a true acting connection with a song, I can help you! We’ll start by diagnostically looking at your voice, breaking any “bad habits” and creating a solid foundation on which to build. I also teach acting, and strive to make sure I meet whatever are my student’s custom criteria: whether that is nailing an audition or callback, how to fully create your own unique approach to a character, or how to make yourself a more flexible and dynamic actor as a whole. I also love helping people crack the daunting code that is Shakespeare and making it more relatable and approachable. Performing arts teachers are basically cheerleaders, therapists, and mentors all rolled into one; and I hope that I can be that for you! I love teaching because nothing is quite as exhilarating as seeing firsthand how much someone can improve in their skill. So if this sounds like a good fit for you, shoot me a message and let's see just how far you can go to improve yourself and achieve your goals!
