Cello with Caroline G.

I have 9 years of experience playing cello and playing in classical orchestras and ensembles. I graduated from Summer Creek High School in the class of 2017 as the number 4 student in my class. For all four years of high school, my small ensemble in which I played cello received a superior rating at the State Solo and Ensemble competition in Austin. I am currently attending Texas Tech University in Lubbock during the school year, majoring in Music Education. I have played in the University Symphony Orchestra there, one of the top collegiate orchestras in the nation. This past semester, we traveled to the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas to play a concert with world-renowned mezzo-soprano Susan Graham. I personally performed in this 2-hour concert only 15 minutes after spraining my ankle (just an example of my tenacity (-: ). I currently hold a 3.9 GPA at Texas Tech, and am a part of the Dean's List and the Honors College. I have taken multiple classes to prepare me to teach string instruments, especially beginning violin, viola, and double bass, and up to advanced cello. I accept all ages and will try to accommodate special needs and requirements as best I can.
