Math is sometimes very abstract for the students. I endeavor to make it more hands on and applicable to the students life. When possible I use alternate project based learning activities to help create an element of "fun" for the learner.

Hi there, 
I have taught many students over the years, but I primarily worked with students in 5th-6th grade. I am a mother of six and grandmother of seven. Lucky kids, their grandma is always available for help in their schoolwork. Although math is my primary subject, I am willing to help you in other subjects you may find difficult. I like to make learning fun. When I was in the classroom we did some fun math projects to help learn different concepts (fractions & measurement) I look forward to us getting to know each other.

Whenever I needed help in math, Mrs. Naugle was the person I would turn to. She set up an encouraging environment where I was never afraid to ask for help because I knew that she would explain everything to me in a way that would ensure that I’d have a better grasp on the concepts that I was either completely confused on or just needed slight explanation to understand it fully.

For many years, I observed Carol working with students in the classroom and after school.  She was always there for them, helping each child master concepts to gain confidence and become successful.  She cares about each child and works well with them.  I saw how they responded to her in very positive ways.  I would highly recommend Carol to work with you and your child. I feel that you will be very pleased with the results.
