Singing with Carmen C.

I came from a small Iowa town to study voice and graduate from Juilliard in the company of great young musicians and even became a finalist in the Metropolitan Opera auditions. In musical theater I played the leading ingenue in Carousel, Showboat, Most Happy Fella, Fanny, Brigadoon, Anything Goes. I toured in The Best of Operetta, The Best of Broadway, An Evening with Romberg. I shot 48 episodes of Woman's Day, USA on USA Cable. Delving into acting at HB Studio, with Mary Tarcai, Lily Parker, Peter Flood of the Actors' Studio enhanced my performances and teaching of singing greatly. In my teaching career I have taught Shakespearean actors, ballerinas, private school musical stars, a current TV star, an Academy Award winner, and just plain folks who wanted to sing better. During a good lesson, we both grow!
