Learn Music Production on Ableton Live with a Professional
Personal releases amassing 2.5M+ streams. Experience producing & mixing EDM, Pop, Hip-Hop, and Reggaeton. I’m an Artist, Producer, Songwriter, & Engineer. I graduated from the Recording Conservatory of Austin as an Audio Engineer and have worked with many different artists in very diverse genres. I’m a firm believer that to start your journey as a music producer, you don’t need to have a vast knowledge of music theory. As long as you know the right skills, and can work your way around a DAW, you can go very far pushing many limits. With the technology nowadays, creativity can get you very far. In 2022 we have access to so many amazing tools that give us the ability to create music that wasn’t possible in the past. Whether you’re a beginner, or have tons of experience… there’s always something you can learn. Especially with so many tools, plug-ins, tricks, and workarounds available. One thing that really helped me was learning to use these tools in ways that they were not meant to be used in order to get sounds no else had made. To create unique music that can reach a wide audience, you need to be able to experiment and break the rules. But in order to do that, you must first learn the rules. I can teach you these rules, and how to use all the tools at your disposal. Whether it’s sound design, structuring, songwriting, mixing, sample hunting, beat production, or just experimenting and having fun.

Since I can remember... music has always been my everything. As a kid, you grow up thinking that certain career paths are "not the right way" and that's exactly what was taught to me about music. I was born in Monterrey, Mexico and moved to the United States at the age of 3. When my dad gave me the original iPod at the age of 6, I was immediately propelled into the world of music. Of course with the help of artists like Ray Charles, Eminem, Shakira, and Sergei Rachmaninoff I was hooked. From that point forward, I carried a pair of headphones with me at all times.
Throughout middle and high school I picked up a couple of instruments but quickly began to realize I wanted to take a different approach to music. I didn’t necessarily excel in any one instrument, so I looked to my friend Tony, who showed me Ableton. This software provided me with the opportunity to create and compose with any instrument using only a small midi keyboard. By sophomore year of high school, I took advantage of this software and started making the music I heard in my head. By the age of 18, I started to DJ around the major nightclubs in San Antonio and fell in love with the unparalleled high of performing in front of a live audience. I then started writing, composing, and releasing my own music under the name “Quantum” and managed to garner a couple hundred thousand streams in the span of a year. This encouraged me to take music more seriously, and I started to believe music could be my pursuit in life.
After graduating high school, I attended only one year of college at UTSA studying business administration before dropping out in order to pursue music full-time. I then found myself applying to to the Texas Recording Conservatory of Austin to study Audio Engineering. There, I started to truly realize what I was capable of and what I could do. I felt more motivated than ever to hit the pedal and go full speed at this so called music thing. I started recording and producing for other artists realizing I had a thing for helping other musicians create records. At the same time, I met my friend and partner Ryan Smith, who is the other half of our duo "Vanglowe". We were both doing very different things, but throughout the course of two years, while working on many projects together, I realized "Quantum" had to come to an end and I needed to merge into Vanglowe. Our very first release has now garnered over a million streams throughout different platforms. With six releases out, including some with big collaborations, we intend to go into the future with lots of exciting music planned.
Music is my passion, and teaching others the knowledge I've acquired is something I find necessary and fulfilling.
