I have been playing piano for over 20 years. I earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with a minor in Pedagogy at Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and later went to the University of Maryland for my Master of Music in Piano Performance. I have been teaching for 8 years now, and I have learned so much and continue to do so every day. The core of my teaching philosophy is to provide tools for people of all backgrounds to enjoy music on a deeper level and to develop their own musical ideas and skills. I love teaching students of all ages and skill levels and am extremely flexible with each student's own goals for their lessons. My teaching covers the development of technique and musicality and will incorporate music theory, ear training, as well as a bit of music history.
