- Teaching since:
After earning my degrees in Classical Voice Performance and Arts Administration from the Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington, IN, I moved to NYC and worked extensively as a professional performing artist in the musical theater, vocal, and dance worlds for over 10 years. I am a proud member of the AEA, and was a cast member in productions from Hair to 42nd Street, and just about everything in between.
As an instructor, I bring invaluable experience from my time in audition rooms and on stage, as well as from my time spent vocal coaching, audition preparation coaching, and my classical music and dance backgrounds. I offer my students a strong foundation in music theory and technique along with practical performance advice, an extensive knowledge of standard, musical theater, opera, and popular music repertoire, and a genuinely deep love for what I do. I hope to instill expanded self-confidence, poise, goal-setting, and work ethic in all of my students!
Candice has been excellent in teaching my daughter -- she loves her lessons, and works hard to keep improving every week. I feel like she's getting a great foundation in music theory, and is gaining more confidence in her piano skills every day.
