I have much to learn, but even more to teach. I have an extensive background in music theory, technique, performance, rhythm, and especially musical composition. While classically trained in percussion, with a range from battery instruments to melodic instruments; I have also been in several choirs throughout my education. All this combines to be able to hear chord progressions well and hear where a song should lead. Regardless of if you are wanting to increase your technical skills on a Snare Drum, keyboard, bongo or Marimba; or develop your compositional prowess on a digital audio workshop, I am confident that my lessons will help. I have been a student and teacher of music since grade school. I remember the passion, curiosity, and drive of singing new songs, jamming on drums, and playing on pianos and marimbas. Admittedly, I am new to the student teaching; but I am no novice when it comes to music theory, technique, rhythm, percussion, or composition. From beginner to advanced level musicians, I am confident that I will have you comprehending the foundations of music or overcoming the obstacle of creative composition in merely a few weeks. While I am willing to travel, my in-home studio is equipped with a marimba, two keyboards, a snare drum, several small hand percussion instruments, a digital audio workshop (Ableton), and a MIDI keyboard controller. As a young professional with a drive and dedication to connecting with creative people; I would love to help keep alive the flame that you found in music.
