I have been playing piano since I was 6 years old! I love to work with beginner students and give them the tools to be a great piano musician.  It's also very energizing for me to work with intermediate students to hone your skills. I focus on proper technique, basic music theory, and a wide variety of repetoire, all while having fun together! I cant wait to help you learn to play.

I typically begin students with a traditional method book, and then move to more classical repetoire, supplementing with pieces or genres that the student has interest in!

Typical lessons will include warm ups (scales, arpeggios, other techniques to warm up the fingers), working on repetoire (may include folk songs, broadway/disney, pop, worship), music theory (note and rest values, key and time signatures, interval recognition, ear training, note recognition, etc.)

Materials that students will need are a piano/keyboard of their own, two lesson/recital books recommended by me, and a theory book.

Fort students taking online lessons with Brittany, they must be at least 8 years old, and have a keyboard with at least 61 keys or a piano.

Brittany is an accomplished pianist with much experience in performing. Brittany is available for beginner and intermediate student piano lessons. She has been playing piano since the age of 6, and has received 2 years of formal training at the collegiate level. Brittany focuses on having fun, all the while training students to be excellent musicians.

Brittany is great!! My son loves having her as his piano teacher. She’s very friendly, patient and encouraging.

Brittany works patiently, yet challenges my daughter to perfect her skills. She gives encouragement during the lessons. I usually clean my kitchen during lessons, but I'm able to hear the lesson being taught. I can hear the smile in Brittany's voice when my daughter learns to do something new.

Brittany is a talented, patient musician.  I am a 50+ year old woman that took lessons many years ago and started up again with Brittany last summer.  I instantly felt comfortable with her, and am not only learning about notes, and fingering but also about theory.  She's  awesome & I'm learning so much.

Although, it was my Daughter’s first lesson, it went well.  I was able to hear her follow the notes.  It was an awesome experience.

She was great!  I'm excited for more lessons with her!

I met Brittany when I joined the Lancaster Chamber Singers a year and a half ago. We both sing in the  Soprano section. As a Master’s level music educator myself, I recognize that Brittany has the skills necessary to teach a student, of any age, how to sing with proper breathing and technique. 
She not only is an excellent singer, but also a very passionate and caring individual. Brittany babysits my daughter on occasion, and my daughter loves spending time with her. Her communication skills are commendable. She does a very nice job of communicating what she wants in a caring, yet direct manner. She is also fantastic at reading situations and altering her methods accordingly. All of these qualities make Brittany an excellent teacher. I definitely recommend her to anyone seeking to take voice lessons!
