Hello!

My name is Brittani, and I have a passion for helping students feel empowered and confident through the use of their voice or piano lessons, whether personal or professional. As someone who has struggled with and recovered from a vocal pathology, I feel that I have a unique perspective on the emotional taxations and challenges that vocal work can bring up. I strive to use compassion and the "love and logic" methodology with all of my students. I am passionate about voice pedagogy and voice science, and use a more anatomically based approach in my teaching, rather than metaphorical. I received my master's degree in voice performance from the University of Northern Colorado in 2017, and hold a bachelor's in music education which I obtained from Colorado State University in 2013. I am a performing mezzo-soprano in a variety of genres, and I have a passion for teaching many different styles including classical, jazz, and musical theater.

I teach ages 12 and up for voice, and 4 and up for piano, and I do teach with Tacoma Public Schools, which has FBI and WSP verified background checks.

My piano skills are proficient for beginning students only. :)
