    About Bridgette B.

    I have always loved to sing, play piano, and viola starting from a young age, and I never gave up my determination and passion for performing. In middle and high school I did many musicals and sang in many choirs, and performed in color guard, jazz choir, swing choir, and chamber choirs. In college, I received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, and performed in many recitals and masterclasses, as well as several small productions. After graduating, I performed in operas and choirs professionally with many companies throughout New England including Metrowest Opera (Cendrillon, Carmen), PORTopera of Maine (La fille du Regiment), Metropolitan Chorale, and more. I sang Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica in Verona, Italy, and 1st Friend in The Ballad of Baby Doe, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, as well as 1st Fairy in The Fairy Queen with Crittenden Opera Studio in Boston. I currently reside in Germany where I am teaching online lessons to students all over the world, teaching English, and pursuing an opera career. Since moving to Berlin in 2014, I have sung Zerlina with Alltagsoper Berlin, started my own company, Lyric Opera Berlin, and performed at many private events.     I teach a group of 20 five-to-six year old children English by immersing them in the target language in a standard pre-school day. We have morning circle, snack and lunch times, smart board activities, free play, group games, music time, sports, library time, quiet time, and more all in English. I create lesson plans for them based on monthly topics of their choosing (the body, the ocean, dinosaurs, signs and signals, world cultures, etc) and interact with them only in English.
