Bridget is a jack-of-all-trades music instructor based in Portland, OR and born and raised in Cape Cod and Connecticut. She is an alumna of Berklee College of Music, Emerson College and UCLA, where she honed her skills as a musical theatre accompanist and music director. Bridget lived in Los Angeles for three years after college and worked in music supervision and licensing for movie trailers. You may recognize her as a former Club Passim box office associate, intern, campfire. performer and chalkboard artist. Bridget began playing piano at the age of two and went on to study classical, jazz, rock and musical theatre styles in addition to learning voice, guitar, viola, violin and cello. She believes learning piano first laid the foundation and passion she needed to pursue a diverse career in music. Since becoming a full time music instructor in 2018, Bridget has taught over 5,000 lessons to students of all ages and levels, from toddlers to octogenarians.

Bridget is an ideal instructor for adult students. Despite her many years of experience, she is able to see through beginners' eyes, enabling her to anticipate and remedy challenges the adult beginner faces when learning new material. Lessons consist of a perfect blend of building solid technique, learning relevant theory, and creating a repertoire of level-appropriate songs. She is super positive, motivating, and funny, which makes lessons a delightful experience. I only wish I had started lessons with her 10 years ago. :-)

Bridget is a very sincere and encouraging teacher with a lot to offer her students. She tries to help each student learn, even within a group setting. She always stops before going on to the next exercise by asking if there are any questions on anything.
