Violin with Brianna G.

My name is Brianna and I am twenty years old. I have been playing violin since I was six years old. I learned violin through the Suzuki program at the University of New Mexico which teaches site reading and playing by ear. With that program, I took private lessons, group lessons and I learned how to play in an ensemble. I also started playing with Mariachi San Jose when I was eleven years old and I stayed with them throughout high school. That consisted of learning many songs as a group and then performing professionally and competing against other mariachi groups from all over the country. Being in a mariachi group taught me how to play with different kinds of instruments while playing something completely different.
