Learning math is about the process not just getting the right answer.  Breaking down concepts and ideas to the basics and rebuilding understanding is the best way to increase knowledge.  Their is no "one way" to do math.  Everyone learns and understands in a slightly different method.

I've been teaching middle school math for over 15 years and have tutored in math from first grade through pre-calculus for over 12 years.  I enjoy explaining ideas and concepts in practical, real-life ways to help with understanding.  I feel it is not always about the correct answer, but the correct process.  I have years of experience working with English-language learners and students with IEPs.  I believe that building confidence is the fastest way to build knowledge.  Along with content, I work with students on how to take notes, ask questions, test anxiety, and organization.

Mr.Camp is one of the best math teachers I have had. His teaching style was great and he really helped me understand concepts that I had trouble learning how to do.
