Hey, I'm Brennen Ernst, and I am an experienced musician looking to share my knowledge and love of music with new students! I am laid-back but eager, and focused on cultivating the same excitement and wonder that I've felt towards music since I was 5 years old, when I first started taking piano lessons myself. I will work hard to help you learn the instrument and music that you want to play and makes you happy! I am very learned in theory, but am perfectly comfortable teaching without it. I come from a small town in Northern Virginia, and first started learning piano at age 5, picking up guitar and banjo 9 years later. I have spent the past 6 years performing many different kinds of music — jazz, bluegrass, country, blues, folk, and more! — in the United States, Canada, and Europe. I now reside in West Philadelphia, and in addition to performing around the area I am looking forward to taking on many new students, and I can't wait to start working with you!
