I am a PA certified teacher with 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I have worked with students from preschool through high school. I specialize in teaching reading, elementary math, and Spanish. As a tutor, my approach is tailored to meet the unique learning needs of each student. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and I am committed to helping them achieve their academic goals. I strive to create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters growth and confidence. In reading, I focus on developing reading comprehension skills, decoding strategies, and phonics. I use a variety of teaching techniques to help students become confident and competent readers. In elementary math, I use hands-on activities and real-world examples to help students build a strong foundation in math concepts. I work with students to develop problem-solving skills, build fluency with numbers, and learn math vocabulary. In Spanish, I use a communicative approach to help students develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. I focus on building vocabulary, grammar, and conversation skills, and I use a variety of authentic materials to engage students in learning the language. Overall, my goal as a tutor is to help students become independent, lifelong learners who are confident and successful in their academic pursuits.
