My name is Brandy I am an arts and crafts instructor with 10+ years experience teaching students of all ages and backgrounds. I have recently relocated to Garner, NC from NYC and am teaching the following: Sewing and Fashion Design: Hand sewing, Machine sewing, Custom garment making, Patternmaking, and Clothing alterations. Fiber Arts: Beginner/Intro to Weaving using DIY looms and SAORI weaving. Fabric Dyeing (ice dyeing, natural dyeing, and eco-printing), and Needle Felting. Drawing and Painting: Figure drawing, landscape, still life, portraiture, illustration. Working in pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, watercolors, acrylic paint, pastels other mediums. For sewing, experience includes working for high end and luxury tailor shops in NYC, as well as fitting on-set for photoshoots, ecommerce, celebrity fittings and red carpet events. I have created many couture garments from sketch to finish. In Fiber Arts, I teach students how to build their own looms, weaving fundamentals, conceptual weaving, fabric dyeing and eco-printing from local materials, and needle felting. I studied drawing and painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art, and a certificate in painting from Parsons School of Design in NYC. I teach students how to draw and paint with life observations and photo references. Lessons involve learning about light and shadow, anatomy, line quality, perspective, and more. I teach students of all levels, ages, and experiences. I am available for Zoom/Online lessons. Thank you and looking forward to our lessons! Brandy
