My love affair with music began at an early age when I started studying the piano at age five. I picked up the euphonium at eleven. Throughout my teenage years, I competed in dozens of festivals and competitions, earning the highest marks for my performances as a pianist and euphonist. In addition to solo performances, I have played euphonium with wind bands in the US and Europe under the baton of highly respected conductors such as Scott Hagen (University of Utah), Richard Mayne (University of North Colorado), and Gary Green (University of Miami). I earned a bachelor of music in instrumental education from the University of Utah. While living in the Salt Lake Valley, I taught privately and in the Utah public school system as a band and orchestra teacher at both elementary and high school levels.
